Fāṭimah b. Muḥammad (Arabic: فَاطِمَة بِنْت مُحَمَّد), commonly known as Fāṭimah al-Zahrāʾ (Arabic: فَاطِمَة ٱلزَّهْرَاء), was the daughter of Muḥammad ﷺ and his wife Khadījah ﵂. Fatima's ﵂ husband was ʿAli ﵁, the fourth of the Rashidun Caliphs. Fatima's ﵂ sons were Ḥasan ﵁ and Ḥusayn ﵁. She is the ultimate archetype for a Muslim woman and an example of compassion, generosity, and enduring suffering.
