ʿAbd Manāf was the great-great-grandfather of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ . According to Imām Shāfiʿī his name was Mughīrah. He was known as Qamar al-Bathā (the moon of the valley of Makkah) because of how exceptionally handsome and striking he was.
